We will assemble at our first garden at 10:00 at Farleigh House, Farleigh Wallop. After tea/coffee and cakes Anthony Wooley, the Head Gardener, will take us on a tour. The highlight of this ten-acre garden is the walled garden, designed by Georgia Langton, which encloses an ornamental potager and rose gardens. Topiary is used extensively and the serpentine Yew walk is of particular note. The whole experience is enhanced by spectacular views over the surrounding countryside.
We proceed to Spring Pond, Laverstoke, where we will have lunch with wine or soft drink.
After lunch, we are taken on a tour of the garden which is a beautifully kept cottage style garden, full of traditional flowers and plants but also with formal elements of topiary. Next, we proceed to EBTS UK member, Judith Lywood’s garden at The Dower House, Headbourne Worthy, where there will be a tour by the gardener before afternoon tea.
Once we are all refreshed Jake Hobson, also a member, a topiarist and supplier of specialist tools for topiary, will give a talk & will be happy to answer members’ questions.
The programme will end at 17:30
